The FSP-8L is a conventional (zone-based) fire alarm control panel from FireSmart. It provides 8 zones and can be expanded to 16, 24, 32 or 40 zones; each zone supports up to 32 fire detection devices, making it suitable for medium and large buildings.
Key features
- 8 zones, expandable to 16 / 24 / 32 / 40 zones
- Up to 32 fire detection devices per zone
- LCD display and cause-and-effect programming
- Reliable conventional wired architecture
Wiring, supervision and installation requirements
Like all FireSmart conventional panels, each zone on the FSP-8L is electronically supervised for open and short circuits (end-of-line monitoring) and supports up to 32 fire detection devices per zone, with a standard 20-second alarm confirmation delay. The panel provides two NO/NC relay outputs plus one 24VDC output for sounders, beacons or auxiliary equipment. Installation should leave at least 1.5 m of clear space in front of the panel, with the control section mounted 0.75–1.85 m above floor level and at least 1.0 m below any combustible ceiling material, and the enclosure must be earthed. Where staff are not present 24/7, the alarm signal must be relayed to a staffed location and automatically transmitted to the fire police, typically through an FCOM-1 transmitter. For the full design process, see our walkthrough on designing a fire alarm system to NFPA 72 and Class A vs Class B circuit wiring.
Standards: designed to meet TCVN 7568-14:2025 (based on ISO 7240).
