The Contact Monitoring Module (Model: FSMM) from FireSmart is designed for use in wireless addressable fire alarm systems. It’s utilized for monitoring dry contact devices like pull stations and water flow switches. This module employs a Wireless Digital Communications Protocol (DCP) for reliable and fast response in emergency situations. It requires a 24 VDC power source and can support up to 300 devices per control panel (WCP1). The module is programmable via a mobile app and uses FireSmart’s advanced analog protocol for efficient communication. This makes it a versatile and crucial component in modern fire alarm systems, ensuring seamless integration and monitoring of various fire detection devices.
The Contact Monitoring Module (Model: FSMM) from FireSmart, besides monitoring dry contact devices, can also integrate with Building Management Systems (BMS). This enables it to control other devices and systems within a building. By connecting to the BMS, the module can facilitate coordinated responses during emergencies, like activating fire doors, ventilation systems, or sending alerts. This enhances the overall safety infrastructure of a building by ensuring all systems work in harmony during a fire incident.
